SwimLog is a personal swim-training log. It is built to be local-first: your data lives on your own device, and you can use the entire app without an account. If you want your log backed up and synced across devices, SwimLog offers an optional account. This policy explains exactly what that means for your data.
Every workout, record, template, training plan, and setting you enter is stored locally on your device (in the app's local storage). Without an account, this data stays on your device and is never uploaded. In the installed iOS app it remains fully available offline.
If you choose to create an account, you provide an email address and a password. Signing in enables cloud backup and keeps your log in sync across your devices. When you are signed in, the following is stored in the cloud, tied to your account:
Cloud sync and authentication are provided by Supabase, a third-party hosting and database provider acting as our data processor. Your data is stored per-user and protected by database row-level security, so each account can only read and write its own data. Your information is not sold, is not used for advertising, and is not fed into any analytics or tracking product.
SwimLog has no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and no social logins. We do not build a profile of you or share your data with advertisers. The only personal data we hold is what an optional account requires — your email — plus the training data you choose to sync.
You can export a backup of your data at any time from the app's Settings screen, as a JSON backup file or as CSV. Exports are initiated only by you and saved wherever you choose; SwimLog does not send them anywhere.
Your data is kept until you remove it. You are always in control:
SwimLog is a general-audience training log and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
